    Introduction

    Head Teacher's Welcome

    Welcome to our school website. Lancasterian Primary School is a safe and welcoming learning community where we all aim high, everyone is included and creativity is valued. We are a two form entry school in the heart of Tottenham, a busy, exciting and energetic part of London, and we are proud of our diverse, welcoming and enthusiastic learning community. In our vision we state that ‘we will make a fairer society’ and that, in order to do this, ‘we will make the best school’; we persistently seek to find new ways to improve and enhance our offer to our children and the local community, working closely with pupils, parents & carers and other stakeholders to ensure that we are getting the provision right. Our values of inclusion, lifelong learning, growth mindset, integrity, high aspirations and respect underpin everything that we do.

     Our Three Year Goals state that by the end of the 2021/22 academic year, Lancasterian Primary School will:

    • have end of key stage results which are consistently at or above national average;
    •  self-evaluate as outstanding in all areas; and
    • give all children and staff equal opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values they need to thrive on a personal and societal level.

     In our most recent school self-evaluation we assessed ourselves as a ‘Good’ school, in line with our 2017 Ofsted inspection.  However, our self-evaluation highlighted Leadership and Management as ‘Outstanding’; the governors and senior and middle leadership teams are united in their vision for the improvement of the school – with a focus on trust, distributed leadership and a coaching approach to problem solving – and our parents/carers and staff consistently report that the school is well led and managed. We are excited by the journey we are on, as we aim to also rapidly elevate our ‘Quality of Education’ and ‘Personal Development, Behaviour and Attitudes’ self-evaluation judgements from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’. This work is driven in large part by the improvements we are currently undertaking to enhance our curriculum offer; our intention is to ensure that our constantly evolving curriculum is always driven by the needs of our community and gives all children the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

    Here at Lancasterian Primary School, the children always come first and, as our vision states, we work hard to ensure that ‘every child leaves the gate with fond memories, a creative outlook and a sense of excitement for the road ahead, because all of us have put them at the centre of everything we do.’
